Dr. Fardo
Dean J. Fardo, MD is a native of Pennsylvania. Dr. Fardo obtained
his B.S. degree in both biology and engineering from Pennsylvania
State University. He continued his education at the University of
Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he graduated with Honors and
was elected into AOA, the national medical honor society. Dr. Fardo
completed both general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at
the Grand Rapids/Michigan State University program.
After completing his residency, Dr. Fardo sought out the best additional
cosmetic surgery training available, and he completed a cosmetic
surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and a oculoplastic(eyelid)
fellowship at PACES Plastic Surgery. This makes Dr. Fardo one of
the few surgeons nationwide that has formal training in both Plastic
Surgery and Oculoplastic Surgery.
After his training was completed, Dr. Fardo was an Attending Staff
Physician at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic for 3 years. His
specialties there were cosmetic and oculoplastic surgery.
Dr. Fardo is board certified in Plastic Surgery and a member of
numerous medical societies. He has authored scientific publications
and textbook chapters and has lectured at several Plastic Surgery
meetings.
